This intaglio print was heavily influenced by tattoo designs. Personally, a tiger represents becoming fears that I have encountered through out my life, therefor the use of daggers. It also represents the beautiful and joyful side of the experiences I’ve had, hence the flowers and ribbons at the handles.

Another concept that really intrigues me is the use of imagery that often represents negative emotions, such as the snake, contrasted with delicate objects, the flowers. All of this is contrasted by the use of an off white paper, giving the image a more welcoming aura, compared to a stark white or black paper.
